James Collins has completed his move from Villa back to Upton Park, in a four year deal which is believed to have cost the Hammers around £2.5m. I was a big fan of JC before he left us, there were some immnese perfomances, our win at the Emirates possibly being the standout. His career at Villa, as at us seems to have been blighted by injury, but I imagine he is being brought in as back up rather than a first team player, and his injuries will be managed by Big Sam and the team. I must admit I thought he was older than 28, but the fact he is that age suggests he has a few more years in him.
Not every signing is going to be an exciting and this one just ticks the box of cover at the back. A sensible player to acquire, now all we need is a decent right back!
