Finally the deal has been done and David Gold and David Sullivan are the new de facto owners of West Ham United. I’ve never really had a massive preference of any one of the interested parties over the other, all cloaked their deals in secrecy and we might never know what the other parties had to offer the club. However, thus far, David Sullivan has made some interesting noises, including tears apparently and his heart certainly appears to be in the East End.
In the short term at least, the futures of Green, Parker, Cole and Upson should be secure and we may well see a signing or two come in. Frankly, I feel we could stay up with the squad we have, provided no one leaves, but some additions and strength in areas would be welcomed.#
Sullivan has also apparently made assurances regarding Zola’s job and I certainly want Franco to remain in charge. We had an un-doubted terrible start to the season and Zola takes some of the blame for this. However, his football philosophy is the right one and the players all seem to want to play for him. Spurs aside, our recent performances have shown some real character, with exciting young players such as Nouble and Daprela showing us the future is bright at Upton Park. As Hammers fans, we want Zola to stay and be given a touch with a real transfer budget and stability behind the scenes.
So, welcome to Upton Park Mr Gold and Mr Sullivan, please look after our club, if you don’t, you will certainly be hearing from us. But today feels like a good day, come on you Irons!!!

"Eidur Gudjohnsen is an immediate target before the close of the January transfer window.
It is also believed that Sullivan and Gold have every intention of making the Olympic Stadium at Stratford West Ham's new home in the future"
Heard this BS before - these two were share holders from the Terry Brown years - history repeats itself - lining of pockets alround.........
"they have purchased a 50% stake at Upton Park, with current owners CB Holdings set to retain a 50% share"
Can't believe keeping the parasitical Icelandic bankers on board is going to advantageous in the long term

I for one welcome Gold and Sullivan to West Ham. They really believe in stability and will stand behind Zola and Clarke which in my oppinion is a really good thing. With a few carefully selected transfers this month i can see west ham climbing away from the relegation zone.
Their plans sound good and they have the money but more importantly they have a wealth of football knowledge and contacts.
I for one am a very excited hammers fan probably for the first time this season.

Just heard david sullivans interview on talksport and he came across very well. I was luke warm about them owning the club but he has won me over (for now !!!). He confirm Zola was staying and players will be brought in to help us still up. He also stated that the hammers are over £100m in debt and will be revealing the true figures later today. Its gonna be frightening. He also has invited over wealthy hammers fans to invest in the club. Tony fernandes ???? That would also good.

I think this will put us back years. I don't think the likes of Gold & Sullivan have a place in the modern game - their idea that we'll make the Champions League in seven years is just ridiculous, how can they possibly think they have anything like the resources to compete with the major Euro clubs. If they didn't do it at Brum, how come they can suddenly do it at WHU? And then there's Karen Brady. I think we need to get used to the idea of persistent medicority.

hope you guys are happy with this and it brings the success you deserve. as a villa fan i would love to see you do well but do it in a sustainable way as we are, its frustrating but we know our club will not go tits up like it appears others will. good luck for the rest of the season
