Well, my first day at my new job did not go quite as planned, with this sight greeting me this morning...
And therefore the chances of going to work reduced to zero. This does however mean that I can spend the rest of the afternoon in front of Sky Sports News following the transfer deadline stories and see if the Hammers come up with anything.
It does seem quiet on the Hammers front and that suits me fine. The 'bloodbath' people were predicting with the loss of Parker, Green and Upson does not seem to have happened and we have strengthened the squad with Savio and Kovac. The only other signing in-bound seems likely to be Bryce Moon from Panathinaikos, so why not become his friend on Facebook? And someone ought to tell him why Mr Moon arriving in the stadium will bring smiles to the faces of long time Upton Park faithful.
Other news, Arshavin appears to have turned down the Gunners, Pompey are set to sign Dos Santos from Spuds. Speaking of the Spuds, their bid to turn the club into Friends Reunited continues as Robbie Keane is apparently in talks to re-join the club. Oh, and here is Harry's latest signing, he had been at Spurs previously and he loves a cold winter's night at Middlesbrough....look out for him clearing shots off the line soon.....
