Bobby Zamora and John Pantsil have signed for Fulham in a £6.3m deal that sees two well liked Eastenders go west. Like I said when the rumour broke, I'll certainly be sad to see Bobby go, he worked really hard to win us over when he could have lost his bottle and his goals in the relegation struggle will live long in the memory. As for Pantsil, his school report would say that he never really settled in at Upton Park although he was popular with the children, having become a bit of a cult favourite with some of the crowd. Footballing wise, however, I don't see any great loss though regular matches may well turn out for him.
The money certainly represents good business, with most of the cash being for Bobby Z rather than Pants, either way, we certainly weren't robbed for a striker who scored one goal last season and a defender with a dozen appearances under his belt of over two seasons. It remains to be seen if the cash will be put to good use with new signings....
