So we allow a promising young defender go,and replace him with someone who i think is very overrated?Great idea!

Robert McLeod

Don't know about this one. could you imagine a fast striker up against Upson and Dunne...Ta ta...we need a pacey player at the back, but i wouldn't be to sad to see the back of Ferdinand, trouble maker and sometimes clumsy in tackles on the edge of the box

Scott

Dunne is a strong, solid and experienced defender, something we need at the club, but not at the expense of a pacey, also strong and improving talent. Ferdinand will only get better, if we sign Dunne, we could well do with keeping Gabbidon and Ferdinand. That way we'd have good quality first choice and cover. Davenport is surplus, it would be a shame to lose Collins too, but hopefully this leaves an opportunity for young Tomkins too.

Simon

I just wander if we have waited too long for Ferdinand's potential to flourish, like his brother Rio, I think a move will start to get the best out of him. Dunne, Uspon, Ferdy, Tomkins, Gabbidon, Collins and Spector means there has to be some movement somewhere. Perhaps gettig rid of Gabbi and Coll and keeping Ferdy could be another solution....

Dave hall

We should keep ferdinand his confidents will grow next season

Tom

Ray, I'd take Dunne over Ferdinand any day, imo out of the two Ferdinand is the overrated one. Also Dunne is pacier than people think, and has the positional sense to make up for any shortcomings he does have
